Library Project

“This moment the library becomes the place where most people come to.

Early morning and break time kids gather to read. This makes parents eager and satisfied. All of us always say thanks for what you have done for us.”

— Fransoi Savie Trinhj Cong Hue, Headmaster

In 2011, VFEMI completed two primary school libraries, providing each with funds for 200-400 books and DVDs for staff and students, reading tables and benches, a computer, printer, projector and screen as well as fresh paint for walls, upgraded electrical wiring and reading lamps.

Our goal this year is to build another four libraries in Kon Tum province. Donors can dedicate their gift, and a special plaque will be hung in heartfelt gratitude by the headmaster of the library’s school. These dedication ceremonies are incredibly moving; the solemnity of the students and teachers speaks volumes of appreciation. In recognition of your generous gift, you will also receive photos and a letter of thanks from the headmaster.

All donations—no matter the size—are tax-deductable. The entire cost of each library, dedicated to serving children both Vietnamese and Montagnard, is $3000.
